A trip of this magnitude, just like any other extended self-supported trip requires lot of one thing - gear. Gear is the stuff that one takes with them, but what differenciates it from stuff is that it is cool. Cool because it performs, hopefully well. Most importantly on a trip like this is the balance of taking everything needed and taking nothing that is not. After all, you are the one carrying it up every single hill.
